A high-tech, lightweight Pure Ascent boot brimful with innovations, including
360 Heel Support technology delivering optimum heel fit, a Mammut®-developed
vibram® Reptilia Grip sole with Torsion Reinforcement for safety and comfort
in alpine sports. The patented Mammut® Base Fit lacing system transfers the
force of the lacing to the sole: free of pressure points, this prevents the foot
from slipping around inside the boot. The highly breathable GORE-TEX® Performance
Comfort Footwear membrane guarantees the boot’s waterproof credentials.
Additional features include extensive use of protective Liquid Rubber reinforcements
and a rugged board-lasted construction.

- The three-dimensionally shaped TPU element is designed for the anatomy of the heel bone, which it completely envelops. This delivers optimum heel fit, helps prevent twisted ankles and protects against rock abrasion.

- Mammut® has joined forces with vibram® to develop this sole profile technology, which is designed to fulfil the specific requirements of active alpine sports. The sole design is inspired by the claws of the lizard and the sticky lamellae of the gecko. These ensure grip and slip resistance on all types of terrain.
- Rolling Concept
- The asymmetric TPU element integrated into the sole wedge delivers maximum torsion reinforcement and supports the foot’s natural heel-to-toe, outside-to-inside rolling motion. This results in less fatigue and enhanced safety.
- This patented Mammut® technology delivers exceptional power transfer from the lacing section to the sole. The concept is based on free-sliding bands that are anchored to the insole. This results in enhanced safety and freedom from blisters, since the foot cannot slip around inside the boot.
- The patented Mammut® sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting).
- This system is based on the three functionalities of support, damping and climate control. Different footbeds accentuate different functionalities – up to two at the same time. The footbed used depends on the main activity for which the boot is designed.
- The lugs and lamellae of these soles developed jointly with vibram® were inspired by the grippy claws of the lizard and sticky lamellae of the gecko. The three-part wedge (EVA IP/EVA/torsion element) ensures long-term damping and guiding on alpine terrain.
