We've invested a lot of time and energy in the development of our newest synthetic bags: for our research and development team that meant countless nights in the climate chamber and then in the remotest corners of the world. We can really be proud of the results: The Arctic Extreme Plus is the warmest of a whole line of high tech sleeping bags with VAUDE's newly Sensofil fiber. Sensofil is a hollow fiber which we put to use in different diameters, ranging from 1.4 to 7 denier: very fine fibers near the body reflect body heat and effectively transport moisture toward the outside. This inner layer is surrounded by warmth retaining 7 denier fibers with larger diameters. Sensofil adapts perfectly to the human temperature regulating system and ensures an outstanding micro-climate thanks to its moisture transporting qualities. Due to the optimised mummy form with an enlarged, anatomical foot section and 3D warmth collar and hood, warmth loss through convection is minimised. All Sensofil sleeping bags offer an optimal relationship between warmth insulation and sleeping comfort. Under extreme conditions, when the sun refuses to shine for days on end, when there's no time to rest: that's when the Arctic Extreme Line comes into its own.
